The responsibilities of the Department are management and improvement of forensic medical
examinations in City of Yerevan and 11 regional Forensic Medical Departments.
- Monitoring the forensic medical examinations of victims and defendants in a consistent and timely manner
- Monitoring the terms of examinations and providing the Expert report
- Monitoring and evaluating the forensic medical experts performance
- Ensuring Expert Report compliance with submitted requirements
- Consulting forensic medical experts to analyze and evaluate complex examinations
- Supervising and monitoring the operation of re-examination procedures by forensic
medical experts
- Organizing and managing the assessment of regional departments
- Providing consultation for investigation authorities
- Conducting the training programs for young experts
- Monitoring the documentation management
