Forensic Biology Department performs examination for the presence of biological materials such as blood, saliva, semen, hair, perspiration, bones, tissues and organs, muscles, as well as definition of type and group of the aforementioned. If necessary, the following additional examinations may be performed
- Differentiation of peripheral and menstrual blood
- Differentiation of embryo, newborn and adult blood
- Establishment of the time of blood trace formation
- Blood typing /ABO, Rhesus/
- Spermogramm
Department of Forensic Biology also performs Forensic Cytology Examinations such as tissue, organ and sexual identity establishment of the biological objects, as well as differentiation of peripheral and menstrual blood.
Forensic-biological examinations are performed both in accordance with the decisions of investigative bodies /police officers/, and for a fee for physical and juridical people.
