This week, experts from the DNA Laboratory of Armenia’s Scientific Practical Center of Forensic Medicine (SPCFM) participated in a specialized training on the use of Y-STR (Y-Filer) analysis in complex forensic identification cases.
Sponsored by the ICRC and delivered in collaboration with Thermo Fisher and scientific international experts, the training focused on advanced genetic approaches that can strengthen identification efforts, particularly in missing persons’ cases where close biological reference samples are limited.
